If you destroy Zombie Remains while they're still carrying loot, they become Eviscerated Remains. If a dead body decays in a spot that already has Zombie Remains, the new Zombie Remains will immediately fall and be destroyed (with a "block hit" noise followed by a "splat"). When a dead body rolls away from where it fell (such as downhill) and then decays, the Zombie Remains appear where the body originally fell. They seem to disappear (entirely) in about the same time it takes dead human zombies to disappear (entirely). Dead animals do not turn into Zombie Remains as an intermediate decay step. When running or walking over Zombie Remains the player will notice a slight slowing in their speed which lasts only a half a second but can be hazardous should many Zombie Remainss pile on the floor while fighting other zombies. It takes approximately a minute for a slain Zombie to turn into Zombie Remains. While it might also be usable for Storage, this is not recommended, as the Zombie Remains will eventually decay and disappear. The only experience i've had was picking up a decapitated head and trying to move it up a hill, the head would freeze in place as if an invisible wall was holding it back as I tried to move it all the way up. Zombie Remains appear after the body of any kind of dead human Zombie decays.
